On the afternoon of February 27, Weng Zuliang, Party Group Secretary and Chairman of China Minmetals, inspected the work of "stabilizing growth, empowering industry, preventing risks, reducing costs and ensuring safety" at MCC, and extended his regards to the cadres and employees.

After listening to the general work report of Chen Jianguang, Party Group Member and Vice President of China Minmetals, Party Committee Secretary of MCC, Chairman of MCC and China MCC, Weng Zuliang gave full recognition to the reform and development ideas and achievements of MCC, its role of "stabilizer", "ballast stone" and "power source" in the development of China Minmetals, and the pragmatic, efficient, and diligent work style of the leadership team.

Weng Zuliang put forward three requirements for the work of MCC in the next step.

First, we should always set political progress as the top priority, and take the implementation of the important instructions of General Secretary Xi Jinping and the decisions and plans of the CPC Central Committee as the practical standard for testing the "Two Upholds". We should also strengthen our theoretical awareness, take firm support for the "Two Affirmations" and resolute adherence to the "Two Upholds" as the highest political principle and maximum political rule, and regard the implementation of the important instructions of General Secretary Xi Jinping as the most direct testing standard. In addition, we should enhance the political judgment, understanding and execution, always maintain a high degree of political acumen, look at problems from a political perspective, and grasp the big picture of politics. In addition, we should shoulder our responsibility and put it into practice. We should resolutely respond to the advocacy of the CPC Central Committee, strictly follow the decisions of the CPC Central Committee, and put an end to the prohibitions of the CPC Central Committee. We must always maintain our political stance and direction in all circumstances.

Second, we should remain committed to making our enterprise stronger, better and larger, and accelerate our efforts to build a world-class enterprise. We need to focus on the integrated industrial development, digital support and compliance management, and concentrate on regions, fields and domains to upgrade quality, product series and brand, laying a solid foundation for improving the core competitiveness and enhancing core functions of the enterprise. Besides, we should focus on the management of projects, investments and risks, handle the relationship between stability and progress, establishment and destruction, and integration and division, and consolidate the foundation of lean management, so as to build a solid foundation for high-quality development.

Third, we should deepen the comprehensive and strict governance of the Party, making it an important responsibility to lead and manage the team well. We must have a clear understanding of the situation in the fight against corruption, fulfill the main responsibility of the Party Committee for improving Party conduct and upholding integrity, and implement the "one position and dual responsibilities" system for the leadership team members. What's more, we should deeply understand and grasp the principle that "full and rigorous self-governance is an unceasing endeavor and that self-reform is a journey to which there is no end", foster the atmosphere of making sure officials don't dare to, are unable to and have no desire to commit corruption, and win the protracted battle against corruption with strict tone, measures and atmosphere. Furthermore, we should set the politics, ethics, ability, work style and integrity standards for the selection and appointment of officials, combine strict management with great care, put equal emphasis on incentives and constraints, and create a clean and upright political environment.
