Weng Zuliang and Guo Wenqing Meets with Mao Weiming, Governor of People's Government of Hunan Province

On March 1, 2024, Weng Zuliang, Party Group Secretary and Chairman of China Minmetals, and Guo Wenqing, President and Deputy Party Group Secretary of China Minmetals, met with Mao Weiming, Deputy Secretary of the CPC Hunan Provincial Committee and Governor of People's Government of Hunan Province. The two sides held friendly talks on further deepening mutually beneficial cooperation.

Weng Zuliang expressed his gratitude to the Hunan Provincial Party Committee and the People's Government of Hunan Province for the strong support to China Minmetals, and briefly introduced the development of enterprises of China Minmetals in Hunan. He stated that Hunan has always been an important center for the strategic layout, industrial layout and innovation platform layout of China Minmetals, and also the province with the largest number of strategic layouts, the most complete industrial sectors and the most complete industrial chain for China Minmetals in China. In recent years, China Minmetals has incorporated the economic and social development of Hunan in the development of its own key responsibility and major business, and maintained its investment efforts in Hunan. The overall investment layout has shown significant characteristics such as a high level of industrial chain integration, distinctive features of technological innovation and strong investment in strategic emerging industries. He hoped that the Hunan Provincial Party Committee and the People's Government of Hunan Province would continue to support the development of enterprises and projects of China Minmetals in Hunan. China Minmetals will further leverage its advantages in resources, technology and industry, and continue to contribute to the high-quality development of Hunan's economy and society.

Mao Weiming expressed his gratitude to China Minmetals for its strong support to the development of Hunan Province over the long term. He stated that currently, Hunan is focusing on the blueprint of "Three highlands & Four new missions" to promote high-quality development, and accelerating the construction of a "4x4" modern industrial system encompassing green mining, new energy and cutting-edge materials. This will provide a broader platform and a larger market for the development of China Minmetals in Hunan. He hoped that China Minmetals would continue to deepen its development in Hunan, further strengthen cooperation in non-ferrous metals, new energy, power batteries, technological innovation and other fields, continuously deepen and consolidate the project cooperation, industrial cooperation and market cooperation between the two sides, and promote high-quality development with high standards, to create a new chapter of win-win cooperation with joint efforts.

Guo Wenqing stated that the cooperation between the two sides has a long history and a deep foundation, and China Minmetals will continue to provide support for the high-quality development of Hunan.

Zhou Haibing, Vice Governor of Hunan Province and Mayor of Changsha City, Qu Hai, Secretary General of the People's Government of Hunan Province, and Zhu Kebing, member of the leadership team of China Minmetals, attended the meeting.
