
On the afternoon of July 31, Chairman He Wenbo went to Taiyuan to meet Li Xiaobo, Chairman of Taiyuan Iron & Steel (Group) Co., Ltd. (TISCO) and TISCO General Manager Gao Xiangming. Yao Ziping, Deputy General Manager of Minmetals; Chai Zhiyong, Director of TISCO and Deputy General Manager of Shanxi Taigang Stainless Steel Co., Ltd.; and Han Zhentang, Chief Accountant of TISCO attended the meeting. The two sides studied and negotiated the grim situation and challenges faced by the steel industry, and had an in-depth exchange of views on further promoting relevant business cooperation.

He said that as an international metal and mining company, Minmetals has extensive experience in global trading of metal and mining products. TISCO hoped that facing the plight of the steel industry, TISCO can promote its products through the platform of Minmetals and seek more development opportunities. TISCO and Minmetals can carry out all-round cooperation and establish new models of business cooperation by working together to establish ferroalloy and other related industrial chains and explore overseas markets.
He Wenbo recalled the history of friendly cooperation between the two sides, highly appreciated the outstanding business philosophy and advanced technical management expertise of TISCO, and introduced the general operating performance of all sectors of Minmetals, especially the development of ferrous metal circulation and overseas projects. He said that as a diversified and open large metal and mineral group, Minmetals has broad prospects for cooperation with TISCO. Next, Minmetals will integrate its offline integrated logistics system and E-commerce to build high-level integrated service platforms, strengthen domestic and foreign industrial layout, and further expand bilateral cooperation with TISCO in related fields.
Yao Ziping introduced the operation of “Xinyilian”, an E-commerce platform of Minmetals. He proposed bilateral cooperation between the two sides in deepening integrated supply of upstream materials, building domestic distribution and logistics systems, and exploring overseas markets. He also offered concepts and service programs for customized E-commerce cooperation according to the actual demand of TISCO.
