On June 16th, constructed with the participation of MCC subsidiaries Shanghai Baoye and China Jingye, a grand opening was held for the Shanghai Disneyland Park, the first Disney theme park in Mainland China.

Shanghai Disneyland is China’s second, Asia’s third and the world's sixth Disney theme park. Located in Chuansha Town, Pudong New Area, Shanghai, it covers an area of 3.9 million㎡ and currently includes the six 'lands' of Mickey Avenue, the Gardens of Imagination, Fantasyland, Adventure Isle, Treasure Cove and Tomorrowland.

Shanghai Baoye generally contracted the construction of the core scenic area of Shanghai Disneyland Park’s Tomorrowland, including the worldwide debut of the TRON Lightcycle Power Run ride, the new Buzz Lightyear Planet Rescue shooting game, the Jet Packs ride and so on, making it the most concentrated area of entertainment ride projects in the whole Park. Tomorrowland adopts imaginative design, sophisticated materials and systematic space utilization, embodies the finest combination of humanity, nature and science & technology, and offers visitors a wonderful entertainment experience.

China Jingye participated in the pre-construction feasibility and planning research of Shanghai Disneyland, and constructed the general engineering of Adventure Isle, the most difficult area with the largest number of themed elements in the core park, as well as AV (audio/video) and other projects. Covering a construction area of 60,000㎡, Adventure Isle includes the six single building projects of the themed theatre, Roaring Rapids, Camp Discovery, themed restaurants, souvenir kiosks and character-meeting kiosk, along with entertainment themes and special projects. Its main construction contents included structures, mechanical and electrical equipment, internal and external themed decorations, the installation of special amusement equipment, performance scenery elements and so on, demanding innovative practices and the perfect integration of large-scale civil building and original themed engineering.

Throughout a construction process of over three years, with experience in the field of theme park construction, comprehensive technological strength, superior resources and elite personnel, MCC enriched its Shanghai Disneyland project construction team with employees involved in the Expo and other major projects who possess rich international engineering construction experience.
