On August 24, Minmetals held a meeting for the new Board of Supervisors assigned by the State Council. Li Ping, Chairman of the Board of Supervisors for Key Large State-Owned Enterprises, attended the meeting and delivered an important speech. Li Huimin, Director of No. 9 Office of the SASAC, Deputy Director Liu Chun and relevant comrades attended the meeting. Chairman He Wenbo attended and addressed the meeting, which was held by Guo Wenqing, General Manager of Minmetals. Other leadership members including Dong Mingjun, Shen Ling, Li Lianhua, Feng Guiquan, Li Xinli, Yao Ziping and Zhang Zhaoxiang were present at the meeting.
At the meeting, Li Ping reviewed the handover of work of Minmetals, and encouraged Minmetals to never give up in difficult times and work together to tide over the crisis. She said that the Board of Supervisors shares the same goals and tasks with Minmetals, except for different division of work. The Board of Supervisors is mainly responsible for preventing the loss of state-owned assets and promoting the maintenance and appreciation of state-owned assets. She called upon Minmetals to support the work of the Board of Supervisors in daily supervision and strict implementation of the code of conduct (Six Do's and Six Don'ts), so as to jointly build a clean, efficient and self-discipline state-owned assets supervision team.
He Wenbo extended his welcome to the new Board of Supervisors assigned by the State Council for supervision, and briefed upon the basic situation of Minmetals and its restructuring and development. He asked all units to attach great importance to the work of the Board of Supervisors, consciously accept its supervision, effectively correct their problems in strict accordance with the requirements of the Board of Supervisors, and actively support and cooperate with the Board of Supervisors in its work.
At the meeting, Li Huimin read the “Notice on Assignment Board of Supervisors to China Minmetals Corporation” and the “Code of Conduct of Board of Supervisors: Six Do's and Six Don'ts”.
Persons in charge of the functional departments of Minmetals and units in Beijing directly under Minmetals were present at the meeting.
