On July 27th, China Minmetals President and Party Organization Secretary He Wenbo investigated and surveyed China Nonferrous Engineering Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as 'Nonferrous Institute') a subordinate of the MCC Group, learned in detail about the Company’s current operating state and put forward guiding opinions for the enterprise’s future development. The investigation and survey were accompanied by China Minmetals Vice General Manager & Party Organization Member and MCC General Manager and President Zhang Zhaoxiang.
Nonferrous Institute President Lu Zhifang welcomed He Wenbo and his delegation on behalf of the company, then comprehensively reported on the Nonferrous Institute’s development history, production and operation status, talent advantages and industrial distribution in recent years, and introduced its industry status, advantageous technology, R&D system, project performance and key projects in the field of mines and nonferrous engineering in detail, as well as the general idea and planning goal of forging China’s nonferrous central research institute. Nonferrous Institute General Manager Wu Shaohui made a supplementary report on the company’s high-end consultation capacity, core technology capacity, overseas market development and other aspects in the fields of miles and nonferrous engineering.
He Wenbo sufficiently affirmed the Nonferrous Institute’s reform and development in recent years and its achievements gained in the field of mines, nonferrous engineering and emerging environmental industries. He then put forward several clear and definite requirements for future development: first, the Nonferrous Institute shall firmly take the significant strategic opportunity of the recombination of China Minmetals and the MCC Group, firmly master China Minmetals’ strategic positioning requirements to forge the 'indemnitor of resource safety, innovator of industrial upgrading, and driver of circulation and transformation', find an accurate self-positioning in the strategic system of the new China Minmetals as a 'national team', and give full play to its unique values. Second, it is necessary to open up the international market with a globalized way of thinking by virtue of the new China Minmetals’ large platform, make full use of the new platform's resources and make efforts to develop oversea markets. Third, while the traditional nonferrous industry is gradually becoming high-end oriented, the Nonferrous Institute shall insist on taking the high-end consultation and design path, strengthening the cultivation of a high-end talent team, giving full play to its own technical advantages, making good plans for future development directions, positively exploring unmanned mining, automation and intelligentization, ore resource exploitation of 'deep land, deep sea and deep sky' and other advanced fields, innovating design concepts and promoting design levels. Fourth, it is necessary to stand at the commanding height of a 'national team', positively find an accurate development direction, adapt to market variations, steadily develop projects in the environmental protection industry, and make efforts to be supported by the capital market. Fifth, it is necessary to stand from the present, increase market development strength, strengthen accounts receivable management, realize the enterprise’s steady operation, guarantee the completion of various operating tasks this year, and strive to make more contributions to the Group. Sixth, it is necessary to pay close attention to safety production work, strengthen safety education and safety control, and guarantee that responsibility is fully assigned and implemented at all levels on both engineering project sites and the front line of industrial production.
He Wenbo stressed that the Nonferrous Institute must take this strategic opportunity to become a banner in the new China Minmetals’ reform and development, and an important brand in the nonferrous industry.
