From August 22 to 26, outside directors of China Minmetals Corporation Shi Dahua, Lang Jia, Pan Zhengyi, Employee Director Liu Leiyun, and others went to Shanghai and Wuhan to visit some important subsidiaries of MCC Group for intensive investigation, during which, these directors deeply understood the development and reform of units, visited the sites of some key projects, and gave instructions for the future development.

On August 23 and the morning of August 26, the directors respectively went to Shanghai Baoye Group and WISDRI to attend the “Forum of Important Subsidiaries of MCC Group in Shanghai” and “Forum of Important Subsidiaries of MCC Group in Wuhan”. They were briefed upon the work by principals of 5 units in Shanghai and 3 units in Wuhan on the development history, business indicators, strategic measures, current problems, and future measures.

The directors indicated that in the face of the huge challenges and opportunities brought by Chinese economic transformation and development, units can actively seek for innovation and changes based on traditional advantages, thus achieving gratifying work performance and transformation achievements, and laying a solid foundation for the future long-term development. All these are deserved to be affirmed and encouraged. For several enterprises engaged in the exploration, design, and construction industry, the directors pointed out that China is now in a historic period with a new round of development and growth of urban infrastructure construction, and thus all the units should grasp this valuable strategic opportunity of the next decade, do a good job in underground pipeline, sponge cities, smart cities, super high-rise buildings, and theme parks as well as the new business pattern research and layout, carefully select business partners and development areas, and practically prevent risks, so as to lay a solid foundation for the new and faster development. The directors also gave specific guidance and instructions on the coordination of MCC TRADE with other business work of the Group, MCC Hospital’s rehabilitation therapy development and benchmarking with overseas similar hospitals, etc.

On August 24, 25 and the afternoon of 26, the directors, accompanied by MCC20 Group Deputy General Manager Qin Xiaqiang, WISDRI (Wuhan) Chairman Xiang Mingwu and General Manager Zang Zhonghai, and CFMCC Chairman Song Zhanjiang, respectively investigated several key project sites, such as the “Baosteel Ironmaking Area Mine Closed Transformation Project”, “Integration Engineering of Ironmaking Area Crushing and Screening System”, and the “Newly-Built No.4 GA Production Line Project” undertaken by MCC20 Group; “City Comprehensive Planning of Optics Valley Central City”, and “Rapid Transformation of Optics Avenue and Bayi Road Extension Projects” undertaken by WISDRI; and the “Comprehensive Treatment of Wuqing Dam Embankment and Marshland and Linjiang Avenue Widen Modification Projects” undertaken by CFMCC with the concept of “sponge city”. Directors required all units to adhere to the development philosophy of “cherishing limited resources, pursuing sustainable development” and fully implement the work spirit of “never delaying and never slacking”, in order to practically optimize transformation, actively realize the business coordination and work cooperation under the background of the New China Minmetals Corporation, and constantly create excellent performance.

They were accompanied by Minmetals General Office Deputy Director Wang Xiaorong and MCC Group Corporate Strategic and Management & Innovation Deputy Minister Gao Ling. The relevant leaders of the Shanghai Baoye Group, China MCC20 Group, MCC Baosteel Technology, MCC TRADE, Shanghai MCC Hospital, WISDRI, CFMCC, and Wuhan Surveying-Geotechnological Research Institute respectively attended related investigation forums.
