On July 28, 2024, Chen Dexin, President and Deputy Party Group Secretary of China Minmetals visited the affiliated enterprises of Hunan Nonferrous Metals Holding Group Co., Ltd., including Hunan Shuikoushan Nonferrous Metals Group Co., Ltd., China Minmetals Beryllium Co., Ltd., China Minmetals Copper (Hunan) Co., Ltd., Zhuzhou Smelter Group Co., Ltd. and Hunan Nonferrous Metals Huangshaping Mining Co., Ltd. He arrived at the mining area and production frontline to learn about the operation status, and extended his warm regards to the cadres and employees there.

Chen Dexin gave full recognition to the achievements made by these enterprises in areas of fulfilling the "Five Core Principles", deeply implementing the "Five Action Plans" and accelerating the construction of "Five Types of China Minmetals". He urged these enterprises to thoroughly implement the guiding principles of the 20th CPC National Congress and the Third Plenary Session of the 20th CPC Central Committee, put great efforts to promote the optimization and adjustment of the industrial structure layout in accordance with the requirements of the Mid-year Economic Performance Analysis Meeting of China Minmetals, and ensure the implementation of various tasks.

Chen emphasized the following: These enterprises should resolutely implement the mineral resources strategy, conduct deep and side prospecting and productive prospecting, and make great efforts in prospecting the depth and margin. They should focus on extending, strengthening, supplementing and connecting industrial chains, and form large-scale industrial clusters to support the high-quality development of China Minmetals with greater resource reserves and better production efficiency. Besides, they should accelerate efforts to achieve self-reliance in high technology, give full play to the integrated advantages of China Minmetals, and carry out active research on new products and materials, so as to effectively solve the "bottleneck" problems. They should promote industrial transformation and upgrading through the integration of innovation chain, industry chain, capital chain and talent chain, empower industrial innovation with technological innovation, and cope with the current severe market situation with better technological and economic indicators. In addition, they should make full use of their advantages in the complete industrial chain from mining, dressing to smelting, achieve cost reduction and efficiency improvement, and strengthen the comprehensive recycling of resources to ensure the full utilization and complete recovery of valuable metals. They should put into practice the concept of green, low-carbon development and environmental protection, promote the control of carbon emissions with comprehensive technological means, and stand firm in implementing the transformation of high-end, intelligent and green mines. They should closely focus on serving the national strategy, strengthen the training of talents, especially international management talents, and create a sustainable talent pool that can take actions and win in the international competitions. Last but not least, they should coordinate the relationship between development and safety, and attach great importance to work safety. They should resolutely build a solid foundation for safety, and intensify prevention and control efforts during the major flood period from late July to early August.

During the visit, Chen Dexin also visited the Shuikoushan Workers' Movement Memorial Hall, conducted on-site safety inspections, and "sent coolness" to the employees on duty, reminding everyone of heatstroke prevention and labor protection.
