From November 30, 2024 to December 1, 2024, Chen Dexin, President and Deputy Party Group Secretary of China Minmetals, led a delegation to Huayuan County, Hunan Province. At the county, the delegation conducted a field survey on rural revitalization and paired assistance, and visited the local poverty-alleviated population and cadres on temporary posts. Wang Jiezhi, Deputy Party Group Secretary and Board Director of China Minmetals, accompanied Chen Dexin during the visit.

Chen Dexin and his delegation first visited the Targeted Poverty Alleviation Exhibition Hall at the Shibadong Village, and then, Lizi Village Miao Embroidery Base and Jingzhunping Square. The delegation followed the footsteps of General Secretary Xi Jinping's inspection, and inquired in detail about the development of industries, income increase for the locals and the inheritance of traditional Miao culture. Besides, it inspected the boardwalk and e-commerce center projects of Shibadong Village, the improvement of the living environment at Paibi Village, and the beautiful village cultural tourism project of Shuanglong Village supported by China Minmetals, and gained a deep understanding of the design and construction progress and product sales. In addition, it had friendly exchanges with Shi Basan, the "eldest sister" of Shibadong Village, and Yang Dongshi, a retired teacher, and extended regards to Shi Jisheng and Shi Guoyuan, local residents who have lifted themselves out of poverty at Shuanglong Village. It also expressed its concern for their production and living conditions. Chen Dexin fully recognized the positive results achieved by China Minmetals in providing paired assistance for Huayuan County over the years. He urged to promote project construction as per high standards and strict requirements, strengthen quality, safety and health management, and highlight ethnic cultural characteristics in the process of planning and design. He also urged to implement, operate and manage assistance projects effectively, fully drive local development, and bring benefits to the public.

Chen emphasized that under the guidance of General Secretary Xi Jinping's important concept of "targeted poverty alleviation", Huayuan County had explored a replicable and referential path of rural revitalization by relying on the unique, unspoiled resources of Shibadong Village, and brought tremendous changes to people's lives. China Minmetals should always bear in mind the earnest instructions of General Secretary Xi Jinping, further enhance its sense of responsibility and mission in promoting rural revitalization, and resolutely implement the various decisions and arrangements of the CPC Central Committee on rural revitalization. Besides, it should give full play to its own advantages according to local conditions, increase efforts to create high-quality assistance projects, and make greater contributions to consolidating and expanding the achievements in poverty alleviation and promoting the deepening and implementation of rural revitalization in all respects at the place where General Secretary Xi Jinping first proposed the strategy of "targeted poverty alleviation".

During the visit, Chen Dexin and his delegation also had communication and exchanges with Liu Tao, Party Committee Secretary of Xiangxi Tujia and Miao Autonomous Prefecture, and Liao Lianghui, Deputy Party Committee Secretary of Xiangxi Tujia and Miao Autonomous Prefecture and Party Committee Secretary of Huayuan County, on rural development, mining cooperation and other aspects.
