From December 1 to 3, 2024, Chen Dexin, President and Deputy Party Group Secretary of China Minmetals, visited three affiliated enterprises of China Minmetals in Wuhan, i.e. WISDRI Engineering & Research Incorporation Ltd., China First Metallurgical Group Co., Ltd. ("CFMCC" for short) and Wuhan Surveying-geotechnical Research Institute Co., Ltd. of MCC ("WSGRI" for short), and extended his regards to frontline cadres and employees there.

Chen successively visited the Production Dispatch Command Center, Intelligent Manufacturing Laboratory, Thermal Product Manufacturing Base, Industrial Electrical Control Technology Innovation Center and Manufacturing Base of WISDRI Engineering & Research Incorporation Ltd., the Enterprise Exhibition Hall and Digital Operation Command Center of CFMCC, and the Digital Empowerment Center, Analysis Center and Xu Fan Craftsman Innovation Studio of WSGRI. He inquired in detail about the production and operation, technological innovation, digital enterprise brain construction and Party building culture of the three enterprises, and fully recognized their achievements in focusing on their primary responsibilities and key business, tapping the potential in their areas of strength and driving high-quality development with technological innovation.

Chen emphasized that these enterprises should thoroughly implement the guiding principles of the Third Plenary Session of the 20th CPC Central Committee, and conscientiously study and implement the important instructions of General Secretary Xi Jinping on technological innovation. They should keep in mind the country's most fundamental interests, focus on the needs of the country, and take on the mission of technological innovation. To be specific, they should deploy the industrial chain around the innovation chain, lay out the innovation chain around the industrial chain, and persist in the use of technological innovation to lead industrial innovation. They should also accelerate the cultivation and development of new quality productive forces. They should promote technological innovation by implementing "five focuses", work to make breakthroughs in original and disruptive technologies and strive to create a number of core technical equipment and products by giving full play to the integrated advantages of China Minmetals. These efforts are to ensure the independent and controllable development of key technologies and promote self-reliance on high technology. Besides, they should improve the technological innovation system and stimulate the vitality of innovation entities. They should strengthen the training of scientific and technological talents, improve the channels for their growth and development and give more policy support, so as to enable the vast number of scientific researchers to strive for tangible results with practical scientific research. Additionally, they should resolutely deepen the reform and promote transformation and upgrading of these enterprises, drive the high-end, intelligent and green development of traditional industries, and make greater efforts in strengthening competitive edges and cultivating "specialized, refined, unique and new" technologies to achieve high-quality development of enterprises. Meanwhile, they should accelerate the construction of digital enterprise brain. Specifically, they should expand application scenarios, optimize decision-making modules and achieve hierarchical and module-based authorization management, for the purpose of further improving enterprise decision-making efficiency and governance capability. Furthermore, they should persist in the use of high-quality Party building to lead high-quality development, strengthen the construction of grassroots Party organizations and build a strong fighting fortress, so as to provide an important guarantee for "working hard for 60 days and striving for excellent performance throughout the year". Finally, they should exercise full and rigorous governance over the Party, carry out rectification of feedback issues from the Central Inspection Team and audit rectification, and create a positive, upright, stable and harmonious development atmosphere.
