From January 8 to 9, Chen Dexin, Party Group Secretary and Chairman of China Minmetals, visited Liaoning to conduct research on MCC Shenkan and Chentaigou Iron Mine. During the visit, he carried out work safety inspections and extended his regards to retired leaders of China Minmetals as well as frontline cadres and employees. Zhu Kebing, Party Group Member and Senior Vice President of China Minmetals, accompanied the visit.
Chen Dexin first visited the R&D Center and Project Control Center of MCC Shenkan , as well as the surface concentrator construction site of the Chentaigou Iron Mine Project for on-site inspections. He acknowledged the technological achievements MCC Shenkan had made by focusing on its core responsibilities and strengthening technological innovation, as well as the hard work and accomplishments of all participating units in the Chentaigou Iron Mine Project. Chen encouraged everyone to stay committed to their goals in the new year, uphold a spirit of dedication and practical action, and contribute even more to the technological innovation, production operations, and reform and development of China Minmetals. He also extended his best wishes for their success at work and happiness in their families.
Chen Dexin emphasized the importance of thoroughly implementing the guiding principles of the Third Plenary Session of the 20th CPC Central Committee, and actively implementing the guiding principles of Central Economic Work Conference, as well as studying and applying General Secretary Xi Jinping’s important discourses on technological innovation and natural resource management. He urged the detailed implementation of the requirements outlined at China Minmetals’ annual work conference to drive the high-quality development to new heights. Chen stressed the importance of placing political development at the forefront, raising political awareness, strictly adhering to political discipline, strengthening team building, focusing on independent innovation, ensuring strict control over project quality, and striving to become a benchmark and model of responsibility and success. It is necessary to focus on the central task to strengthen Party building, and to promote development through effective Party building, leveraging the effective role of project Party branches to enhance the governance capabilities and levels at the grassroots level. Work safety must be managed with strict, precise, and rigorous measures, and comprehensive safety management of personnel, equipment, and the environment must be reinforced. Efforts should be concentrated on-site, with a solid foundation laid at the team level, to ensure high-quality development supported by high-level safety standards. He called for fostering the mindset of coordinating all sectors with a unified strategy, improving and strengthening internal collaboration mechanisms, and fully leveraging the integrated advantages and collective strength of China Minmetals. This approach will drive projects forward with high quality and efficiency, delivering “experience, talent, and benefits.” Chen also emphasized the need to continue deepening the strict governance of the Party, particularly in managing processes such as bidding, raw material procurement, and equipment purchasing. He stressed the importance of maintaining strict discipline and adherence to rules, in order to create a clean, upright development environment.
Chen Dexin also visited retired senior leader Tang Fuping, warmly inquiring about his health and living conditions. He also provided updates on China Minmetals’ high-quality development in recent years and its strategic plans for the future. Chen expressed his gratitude for Tang’s contributions to China Minmetals’ growth, listened to his opinions and suggestions on the development of China Minmetals, and encouraged him to take care of his health while continuing to support and pay attention to the progress of China Minmetals.
