On May 20, Chen Dexin, Secretary of the Party Leadership Group and Chairman of China Minmetals, held a working meeting with Zhao Yonggang, President of China Pacific Insurance (Group) Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as CPIC), who was on a visit to China Minmetals. The two parties had in-depth discussions on further strengthening their cooperation.
Chen Dexin thanked CPIC for its support to China Minmetals and gave an overview of the company's development history and business operations. He stated that China Minmetals always bears in mind its original aspiration and mission of "serving the country through mining and strengthening the nation through mining," continuously enhances its core function of "ensuring the supply and security of national metal mineral resources," and steadily improves its core competitiveness of "integrated, high-level development across the entire industrial chain." The company has developed six major business sectors—metal minerals, metallurgical construction, technology industry, trade and logistics, financial capital, and real estate development—and remains unwaveringly committed to safeguarding the security and stability of national industrial and supply chains. CPIC is a leading comprehensive insurance group in China. Over the years, the two parties have engaged in extensive cooperation across insurance and financial services, laying a solid foundation for their partnership. It is hoped that, on the basis of consolidating existing cooperation achievements, the two parties will further broaden the dimensions and deepen the levels of cooperation in areas such as risk management, investment and financing collaboration, and comprehensive financial services. Together, they aim to explore new development paths and achieve mutual benefit and win-win results.
Zhao Yonggang expressed his gratitude to China Minmetals for its trust and support. He stated that as a traditional brand in China's national insurance industry, CPIC has driven its development through reform, making simultaneous progress across the three fronts of insurance, investment, and services. The company has steadily advanced the "five major areas of financial services" and is committed to fostering deep integration and positive interaction between insurance and economic and social development. China Minmetals is a strategic client of great importance to CPIC. The two parties are highly aligned in their development strategies, core competencies, and business scenarios, and are strongly complementary. CPIC is ready to closely align with China Minmetals' business footprint and development needs, deepening engagement and cooperation in risk management, investment and financing collaboration, and comprehensive financial services. The aim is to foster business integration and coordinated interaction between the two parties, better support the high-quality development of China Minmetals' core responsibilities and principal businesses, and jointly serve national development strategies.
Relevant personnel from CPIC, as well as heads of relevant headquarters departments and directly managed enterprises of China Minmetals, attended the meeting.
