On June 2, Chen Dexin, Chairman of China Minmetals Corporation and Secretary of its Party Leadership Group, held a work meeting with An Shi, Secretary of the Party Committee of Central South University, in Changsha, Hunan Province. The two sides had in-depth discussions on further strengthening university-enterprise cooperation. Fu Ganghua, Deputy Party Secretary of Central South University, and He Xuhui, Vice President and Member of the Standing Committee of the Party Committee, attended the talks. Wang Jiezhi, Deputy Party Secretary and Director of China Minmetals Corporation, and Wang Xingquan, Party Member and Vice General Manager of China Minmetals, were also present.

Chen Dexin expressed his gratitude to Central South University for its longstanding trust and support for China Minmetals Corporation. He also provided an overview of China Minmetals’s overall development and reviewed the deep foundation of cooperation that the two sides have built together. He stated that China Minmetals continues to strengthen its core function of safeguarding the supply and security of national metal and mineral resources, while enhancing its core competitiveness through the high-level, integrated development of the entire industrial chain. China Minmetals has forged comprehensive advantages across the full industrial chain, covering resource exploration, design and construction, development and operation, smelting and processing, trade and logistics, scientific and technological R&D, and financial capital. In doing so, it comprehensively bolsters China's capacity to ensure the security of strategic mineral resources across all critical stages—exploration, production, supply, reserve, and sales. With strong disciplinary expertise in geology, mining, metallurgy, and materials science, Central South University's academic strengths are highly aligned with the core business responsibilities of China Minmetals. Both sides aim to establish and improve a regular communication mechanism, adhere to the "Five Focuses," and further deepen cooperation in platform development, capability enhancement, technological research, achievement commercialization, and talent cultivation. Together, they will promote the integrated development of the innovation chain, industrial chain, capital chain, and talent chain, setting a new benchmark for university-enterprise collaboration.
