On June 9, Zhu Kebing, Deputy Secretary of the Party Leadership Group, Director, and General Manager of China Minmetals, held working talks with Luo Qiang, Vice Governor of Guizhou Province, who was on a visit. The two sides had in-depth exchanges on further strengthening cooperation. Wang Xingquan, Member of the Party Leadership Group and Deputy General Manager of China Minmetals, and Mu Rongkun, Deputy Secretary of the Tongren Municipal Party Committee and Mayor of Tongren City, attended the talks.
Zhu Kebing extended a warm welcome to Luo Qiang and his entourage, and expressed gratitude to Guizhou for its long-term care and support for the operation and development of China Minmetals' local enterprises. He stated that China Minmetals thoroughly studies and implements the spirit of General Secretary Xi Jinping’s important instructions and directives. It continues to expand its layout across six major business segments: metals and minerals, metallurgical construction, technology industry, trade and logistics, finance and capital, and real estate development. It unswervingly pursues greater self-reliance and strength in science and technology at higher levels, and strives to advance in-depth integration of scientific and technological innovation with industrial innovation. China Minmetals maintains all-round, friendly and close cooperation with Guizhou in fields including scientific and technological innovation, engineering construction and rural revitalization. Both sides expect to further deepen communication and coordination in mineral resources development and utilization, coordinated industrial chain cooperation, talent exchange and other areas, jointly serve the overall national development agenda and open a new chapter in local-enterprise cooperative development.
Luo Qiang thanked China Minmetals for its outstanding contributions to Guizhou's economic and social development over the years. He said Guizhou boasts prominent geographical advantages, abundant natural resources and broad development prospects. The provincial government will continue to coordinate resource factors, deliver high-quality services and create favorable conditions for enterprise development. It is expected that China Minmetals and Guizhou will jointly align with the development blueprint of the 15th Five-Year Plan, move forward in the same direction and work in full alignment. Drawing on respective strengths, both sides will be guided by breakthroughs in key technological research, supported by implementable projects, boost coordinated development of industrial chains, effectively translate mineral resource advantages into industrial development strengths, and contribute to safeguarding national strategic mineral security.
