China Minmetals Corporation 2026-07-01
On July 1, Zhu Kebing, Deputy Secretary of the Party Leadership Group, Director, and General Manager of China Minmetals, paid an inspection and research visit to China MCC and extended condolences and greetings to its cadres and staff. He was accompanied by Cheng Yong, Member of the Party Leadership Group and Deputy General Manager of China Minmetals.
Zhu Kebing made an on-site visit to the China MCC Science and Technology Achievement Exhibition, systematically reviewed the key technological advances and their industrial implementation, with special attention to China MCC’s innovation efforts in traditional steel metallurgy, municipal and residential construction, and urban renewal. He subsequently chaired a research and discussion meeting, at which he received briefings on the company’s operational performance, strategic restructuring, improvement of management efficiency, technological R&D, key reform initiatives, and Party building activities. Zhu recognized China MCC’s long-term commitment to its core business, its innovative achievements, and its service to the broader development strategy of China Minmetals, and offered guidance on future priorities.
Zhu Kebing stressed that the fundamental logic driving industrial development has seen a radical shift. China MCC must closely align with China Minmetals’ original mission of “serving the nation through mining and strengthening the country through mining” and its strategic positioning as the “national team for resource security and the main force serving new infrastructure and new urbanization initiatives.” He called on China MCC to strengthen confidence in development, uphold strategic resolve, seize the critical opportunity presented by the launch of the 15th Five-Year Plan, and boost quality and efficiency, and transformation and upgrading with new thinking and practical measures. He stressed the need to transform development concepts and consolidate the foundation for growth. China MCC should adhere to a value-driven development philosophy, scientifically balance the dialectical balance between scale and benefit, speed and quality of development, and between development speed and development quality, while resolutely abandoning the extensive growth model. It should solidly advance the special campaign for deleveraging and risk reduction, deeply tap into cost control potential, explore new models for building an industrial workforce adapted to industry transformation, focus precisely on its primary businesses, and accelerate the upgrade toward a full-industry-chain operational model. He called for activating the momentum of scientific and technological innovation and breaking down barriers to synergies. China MCC should fully leverage the inherent strengths and technological accumulation of its research institutes, revitalize the high-quality resources of specialized, refined, distinctive and innovative SMEs, and drive deep integration of technology, market, and resources. It should focus on tackling key areas such as core equipment, industrial software, and industrial control systems, accelerate the industrialization of cutting-edge technologies, and cultivate a science-and-technology-driven business model capable of sustainable profitability. He urged improvement in regulatory standards and enhancement of governance effectiveness. China MCC should accelerate the full implementation and integration of unified system platforms, strengthen penetrating supervision with a focus on critical links, refine institutional frameworks, rigorously enforce compliance, and continuously improve management quality and efficiency. He emphasized the need to strengthen the guiding role of Party building and consolidate synergy for development. China MCC should solidly advance the education and practice of fostering and practicing a correct view of political achievements, lead and ensure high-quality development with high-quality Party building, and effectively translate the Party’s political and organizational strengths into strengths in innovation, development and market competition. He underscored the importance of building a robust safety line and strictly observing safety bottom lines. China MCC must fully recognize the complex and severe situation of work safety, strengthen full-cycle safety production accountability, pay close attention to seasonal construction risks such as high temperatures, flood seasons, and typhoons, dynamically identify and address various risks and hidden dangers, and ensure a stable safety foundation to safeguard the company’s high-quality development.
