On July 14, China Minmetals held working talks with Qinghai Province in Xining, the provincial capital. Chen Dexin, Secretary of the Party Leadership Group and Chairman of China Minmetals, and Zhu Kebing, Deputy Secretary of the Party Leadership Group, Director and President of China Minmetals, met with Wu Xiaojun, the Secretary of the CPC Qinghai Provincial Committee and Chairman of the Standing Committee of the Provincial People’s Congress, and Luo Dongchuan, Deputy Secretary of the CPC Provincial Committee and Governor of Qinghai Province. Liu Chao, Vice Governor of Qinghai Province, along with Wang Jiezhi, Deputy Secretary of the Party Leadership Group and Director of China Minmetals, and Wang Xingquan, Member of the Party Leadership Group and Vice President of China Minmetals, also attended the meeting.

Wu Xiaojun and Luo Dongchuan welcomed Chen Dexin and Zhu Kebing and their delegation, expressing gratitude for China Minmetals’ long-standing support for Qinghai’s economic and social development. They noted that, standing at the new starting point of the 15th Five-Year Plan period, Qinghai is steadfastly following the direction set by General Secretary Xi Jinping, prioritizing ecological conservation and pursuing green development. Guided by the goals of building a highland of ecological civilization and developing the “Four Industrial Bases,” Qinghai is striving to achieve decisive progress in the construction of a modernized new Qinghai. Since the inauguration of China Salt Lake Group, both sides have maintained a high-standard, efficient, and pragmatic approach, going all out to advance cooperation and integrate resources, achieving remarkable results that are evident to all. They expressed hope that both sides will further strengthen communication and coordination, working together on issues such as comprehensive utilization of salt lake resources, technological innovation, industrial cluster development, and the “salt lake +” initiative. By joining forces, they aim to create a new benchmark and model for central-local government cooperation and advance the high-quality construction of a world-class salt lake industrial base.

Chen Dexin and Zhu Kebing congratulated the convening of the 27th Qinghai-China Investment and Trade Fair for Green Development and thanked the CPC Qinghai Provincial Committee and Government for their long-standing trust, assistance and support to China Minmetals. Chen Dexin stated that China Minmetals and Qinghai have been working hand in hand unswervingly, thoroughly implementing General Secretary Xi Jinping’s important speeches and instructions on Qinghai’s work. Since their meeting last June in particular, the two sides have been united in purpose, tackling shared challenges and moving in the same direction. They have made sustained efforts in areas such as salt lake resource development, modern industrial system construction, and social welfare, achieving milestone results especially in the joint construction of a world-class salt lake industrial base, charting a distinctive path of high-quality development through government-enterprise collaboration. He expressed hope that both sides will take this meeting as an opportunity to further strengthen communication, align their efforts, and advance work in an integrated manner, ensuring that all initiatives are effectively implemented and yield more fruitful cooperation results at an early date. China Minmetals will mobilize its full strength to accelerate the construction of a world-class salt lake industrial base, making new and greater contributions to Qinghai’s efforts to build an ecological civilization highland and develop the “Four Industrial Bases.”
