China Minmetals Corporation 2026-07-17

On July 17, Zhu Kebing, Deputy Secretary of the Party Leadership Group, Director and President of China Minmetals, inspected Minmetals Development and extended greetings to its cadres and employees.

Zhu Kebing listened to the work report of Minmetals Development, gaining a detailed understanding of the company’s production operations, strategic transformation, reform and innovation, risk prevention and control, and Party-building efforts. In light of the current operational and production situation of Minmetals Development, he put forward clear requirements for achieving breakthroughs in high-quality development.

Zhu Kebing emphasized that Minmetals Development must remain true to the founding mission of “serving the country through mining and strengthening the nation through mining.” Centering on China Minmetals’ strategic positioning as the “national team for resource security,” it should implement the development principles of “refocusing on core businesses, positioning industries appropriately, and centralizing resource management.” It must firmly seize the development opportunities of the 15th Five-Year Plan period, carry forward its glorious history, and write a new chapter of development, building itself into a next-generation trader with distinctive mining and metallurgy characteristics. He called for firm confidence in anchoring the transformation path of “resources + technology + trade + services,” fully leveraging the advantages of marketing networks and logistics infrastructure, building on core product operational capabilities, and unleashing the potential of high-quality talent teams to ensure the implementation of key tasks in transformation and development. He urged the company to grasp the prevailing situation, focus on collaborative value creation and service enhancement, strengthen coordination awareness, improve service capabilities, and optimize resource allocation to adapt to industry developments. On transformation, he stressed the need to focus on core responsibilities and main businesses, accelerate the transformation of business models, support China Minmetals’ strategic mineral resource system covering “exploration, production, supply, storage, and sales,” continuously optimize the distribution network, and accelerate the building of a trade and logistics service network that meets China Minmetals’ needs. On safeguards, Zhu called for firmly establishing and practicing a correct view of performance, promoting the integration of Party-building with business operations to create value, and fully leveraging the vanguard role of Party members. He also emphasized strengthening talent guarantee mechanisms, fostering a work style of “practical action and solid results,” strictly maintaining integrity and honesty in business practices, resolutely eliminating fictitious trade, and ensuring the company’s steady and sustainable development.

Heads of relevant departments at China Minmetals’ headquarters participated in the inspection.
