On July 14, China Minmetals and Qinghai Province held working talks in Xining, Qinghai. Chen Dexin, Party Secretary and Chairman of China Minmetals, and Zhu Kebing, Deputy Party Secretary, Director and President of the Corporation, attended the talks together with Wu Xiaojun, Secretary of the CPC Qinghai Provincial Committee and Chairman of the Standing Committee of the Qinghai Provincial People’s Congress, and Luo Dongchuan, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Committee and Governor of Qinghai Province. Also present at the talks were Liu Chao, Vice Governor of Qinghai Province, Wang Jiezhi, Deputy Party Secretary and Director of China Minmetals, and Wang Xingquan, member of the Party Leadership Group and Vice President of the Corporation.

Wu Xiaojun and Luo Dongchuan welcomed the visit of Chen Dexin, Zhu Kebing and their delegation, and thanked China Minmetals for its long-standing and strong support for Qinghai’s economic and social development. They noted that, standing at the new starting point of the 15th Five-Year Plan period, Qinghai is firmly advancing along the direction guided by General Secretary Xi Jinping, upholding ecological priority and green development. Driven by the goal of building a highland of ecological civilization and developing the “Four Industrial Bases”, Qinghai is striving to make decisive progress in building a modernized new Qinghai. Since the inauguration of QingHai Salt Lake Industry Co., Ltd., both sides have maintained a high-standard vision, high efficiency and a highly pragmatic approach, going all out to advance cooperation and integrate resources, delivering remarkable and widely recognized results. It is hoped that the two sides will further strengthen communication and coordination, and work in concert on comprehensive utilization of salt lake resources, scientific and technological innovation, industrial cluster development and the “Salt Lake+” initiative. Together, they will set a new benchmark and model for central-local cooperation and advance the high-quality development of a world-class salt lake industrial base.

Chen Dexin and Zhu Kebing extended congratulations on the convening of the 27th Qinghai China Investment & Trade Fair for Green Development and expressed gratitude to the CPC Qinghai Provincial Committee and the People’s Government of Qinghai Province for their long-standing trust, assistance and support to China Minmetals. Chen Dexin stated that China Minmetals and Qinghai Province have forged ahead hand in hand with unwavering resolve, thoroughly implementing the spirit of General Secretary Xi Jinping’s important speeches, instructions and directives on Qinghai’s work. Particularly since the meeting held in June last year, the two sides have stood together in solidarity, addressed shared challenges in unison, and advanced in the same direction, sustaining efforts in salt lake resource development, building a modern industrial system, and social and livelihood security. Landmark progress has been achieved, most notably in the joint development of a world-class salt lake industrial base, blazing a distinctive path of high-quality development through government-enterprise collaboration. Chen expressed the hope that both sides will take the current talks as an opportunity to further strengthen communication and coordination, work in sync and advance in a holistic manner, so as to ensure that all work measures are effectively implemented and yield more fruitful outcomes of cooperation at an early date. China Minmetals will mobilize the full strength of the entire corporation to accelerate the development of the world-class salt lake industrial base, and make new and greater contributions to Qinghai’s endeavor to build a highland of ecological civilization and develop the “Four Industrial Bases”.
