On March 19, Chen Dexin, Party Group Secretary and Chairman of China Minmetals, met with Liang Hua, Chairman of of Huawei. The two sides held discussions on deepening cooperation. Wang Xingquan, Party Group Member and Senior Vice President of China Minmetals, attended the meeting.

Chen Dexin extended a warm welcome to the delegation led by Liang Hua, and gave a brief introduction about the development history and status of China Minmetals. He said that China Minmetals had always followed the guidance of Xi Jinping Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era, and stayed true to its original mission of "serving and reinvigorating the country through the metals and minerals industry". With 47 national-level scientific and technological platforms, 19 research and design institutes, and a global presence in over 60 countries and regions, the Company contributes its share to the supply and security guarantee of national metal resources. At present, China Minmetals earnestly implements the Spirit of the 3rd Plenary Session of the 20th CPC Central Committee, and maintains a firm grasp on high-quality development, the top priority for China. The Company is committed to leading industrial innovations with scientific innovations, and strives to take the lead and set an example in promoting high-level sci-tech self-reliance and self-strengthening at higher levels, building a modern industrial system, and developing new quality productive forces. China Minmetals has conducted technological exchanges and coordinated efforts with Huawei in many areas including digital infrastructure construction, digital transformation and so on.
