On March 21, China Minmetals and China Reform signed a Strategic Cooperation Agreement in Beijing. Chen Dexin, Party Group Secretary and Chairman of China Minmetals and Xu Siwei, Party Group Secretary and Chairman of China Reform engaged in a discussion session and witnessed the signing ceremony. The attendees included Yang Ning, Vice General Manager of China Reform, Liu Xueshi, Party Group Member and Chief accountant of China Reform, Wang Bao, Party Group Member and Vice General Manager of China Reform, Wang Xingquan and Xu Jiqing, Party Group Member and Vice General Manager of China Minmetals.

During the discussion, Chen Teixin reviewed the friendly cooperation between China Minmetals and China Reform, and expressed his gratitude to China Reform for its firm trust and support to China Minmetals. He said that China Minmetals has established China Salt Lake Industry Group Co., Ltd. with Qinghai Provincial People's Government, and reached and signed an agreement with Anglo American to successfully acquire Brazilian nickel company. China Minmetals would never have achieved these results without strong support from other parties including China Reform. Since the talks in October last year, the two sides have strengthened communication and exchanges, and made a lot of efforts to build a comprehensive strategic cooperative partnership. It is hoped that the two sides will take this signing as an opportunity to give full play to their respective advantages, further increase cooperation in mineral resources, fund investment, scientific and technological innovation, so as to actively serve major national strategies, share responsibilities, and promote common development.

Xu Siwei congratulated China Minmetals on its development achievements in recent years and looked forward to further deepening mutually beneficial and friendly cooperation between the two sides. He said that China Reform had a deep foundation for cooperation with China Minmetals with a focus on serving central enterprises. In the past, the two sides have reached a series of cooperation in the development of mineral resources and overseas investment, and have achieved a series of results, promoting the common development of both sides. It is hoped that the two sides will continue to expand cooperation in various fields, strengthen coordination in many fields such as resource development, science and technology industry, funds investment, factoring and leasing, and green development, and deepen the integration of industry and finance to jointly contribute to the national strategy, and strive to create a new model of cooperation between central enterprises.

According to the agreement, the two sides will, in accordance with the principle of complementary advantages, sharing resources, mutual benefits, win-win outcomes and common development, establish a long-term strategic cooperative partnership, carry out all-round, and in-depth cooperation with a wide coverage, so as to promote both sides to strengthen core functions and enhance core competitiveness, and achieve mutually beneficial and win-win development.
