From May 12 to 13, 2025, Chen Dexin, Party Group Secretary and Chairman of China Minmetals, visited four affiliated enterprises of China Minmetals in Hunan Province, i.e., Hunan Yaogangxian Mining Co., Ltd., Hunan Ferrous Xintianling Tungsten Industry Co., Ltd., Changsha Research Institute of Mining and Metallurgy Co., Ltd., and 23rd Metallurgical Construction Group Co., Ltd. of Minmetals. At these enterprises, he conducted safety and environmental inspections, and visited and extended his regards to the officials and employees. 

Chen Dexin successively visited the ecological restoration site of Simaoping, Yuxin scheelite open pit and Longxia purification chamber under Hunan Yaogangxian Mining Co., Ltd.; the intelligent control center and the new ore dressing plant under Hunan Ferrous Xintianling Tungsten Industry Co., Ltd.; the test site of the state key laboratory for the development and utilization of deep-sea mineral resources under Changsha Research Institute of Mining and Metallurgy Co., Ltd.; and the premise of 23rd Metallurgical Construction Group Co., Ltd. of Minmetals. At these places, he asked about the production and operation, scientific and technological innovation, safety and environmental protection, and Party building of these enterprises in detail. He also encouraged all of them to continue to focus on the primary responsibilities and key business and cultivate their area of expertise. Besides, he inspired them to give play to comparative advantages and drive high-quality development of enterprises with scientific and technological innovation. 

Chen Dexin emphasized the need to thoroughly study and implement the guiding principle of Xi Jinping Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era, as well as the important speeches and instructions of General Secretary Xi Jinping during his visits to Hunan. He stressed that they should fully demonstrate the responsibility of central state-owned enterprises in areas such as resource security, ecological protection, and high-quality development. Moreover, they should balance the relationship between development and security and ensure work safety with a constant sense of responsibility and a well-prepared demeanor. They should promote high-quality development and high-level safety through efficient governance. Besides, they should stick to China Minmetals' mineral resource strategy, fully promote the construction of the state key laboratory for the development and utilization of deep-sea mineral resources and perform well in the implementation of the national key research and development projects in the field of deep-sea mining. They should increase the exploration efforts in prospecting, constantly improve the comprehensive utilization rate of resources, and provide sufficient resource reserves for their sustainable development. Furthermore, they should coordinate the transformation and upgrading of traditional industries, make great efforts to launch "intelligent, digital, and green" transformation, and accelerate the construction of a modern industrial system. They should focus on increasing profitability through meticulous cost management, enhancing efficiency through refined management practices, and driving efficiency through reform and innovation. They should also continue to optimize production processes, promote technological advancements, and thereby strengthen their core competitiveness. In addition, they should put great efforts to promote the transformation and upgrading of traditional metallurgical construction enterprises, and better serve China Minmetals' primary responsibilities and key business with safety, quality, compliance management, and talent teams. Besides that, they should vigorously promote the spirit of model workers, the spirit of labor, and the spirit of craftsmanship. By leveraging the exemplary role of model workers, they can inspire employees to excel in their respective positions, hone their skills, and improve their overall quality in all respects. This will enable them to make new contributions and achieve new accomplishments in driving the high-quality development of the enterprises. They should strengthen warning education and build a solid ideological defense line for the integrity of officials and employees.
