On July 10, Zhu Kebing, President of China Minmetals, met with the visiting Zhang Xiaodong, Deputy Party Secretary of the Agricultural Development Bank of China (ADBC). The two sides held an in-depth exchange on further strengthening the cooperation between industry and finance.
Zhu Kebing extended a warm welcome to Zhang Xiaodong and his delegation, expressed his gratitude for the long-standing support from ADBC, and briefly introduced the history and business operations of China Minmetals. He said that China Minmetals, founded in 1950, has evolved from a foreign trade-oriented enterprise initially engaged in the import and export of metal and mineral products and hardware. Through transformation and development, it has become a globally influential metals and minerals enterprise group with a business scope spanning metals & minerals, metallurgical construction, high-tech industry, trade & logistics, and finance & real estate. Zhu noted that China Minmetals and ADBC have maintained a strong strategic partnership over the years, with continuously deepening areas of cooperation and increasingly fruitful results. He expressed his hope that the two sides would further tap into their potential for collaboration in areas such as capital for major projects, mineral resource reserves, environmental governance and mine restoration, and infrastructure development. He looked forward to advancing practical cooperation to better serve the country’s strategic needs.
Zhang Xiaodong thanked China Minmetals for its trust and support and highly affirmed the friendly and mutually trusting partnership between the two sides. He said that ADBC will fully leverage its advantages as a policy bank to better provide financial support and services tailored to China Minmetals’ development needs in fields such as resource reserves, agricultural materials and fertilizers, mine restoration, and infrastructure development. He added that ADBC would strive to expand the scope and scale of cooperation, working together with China Minmetals to create a new chapter of mutually beneficial and win-win collaboration.
Relevant officials from the Agricultural Development Bank of China and heads of relevant headquarter departments of China Minmetals attended the meeting.
