Zhu Kebing Meets with Bold Baatar, Chief Commercial Officer of Rio Tinto Group

On August 12, Zhu Kebing, President of China Minmetals, met with the visiting Bold Baatar, Chief Commercial Officer of Rio Tinto Group. The two sides had an in-depth exchange on further deepening their cooperation. 

Zhu Kebing extended a warm welcome to Bold Baatar and his delegation and briefly reviewed the history of friendly cooperation between China Minmetals and Rio Tinto Group. He said that China Minmetals and Rio Tinto Group have maintained a long-term and stable cooperative relationship, with a sound communication and exchange mechanism established at the senior management level, which has played a significant role in consolidating and deepening their partnership. As an important partner of China Minmetals, Rio Tinto Group shares a broad scope, a solid foundation, and fruitful outcomes of cooperation with the company. He expressed his hope that both sides, on the basis of their existing collaboration, would further strengthen regular communication, and jointly explore and expand cooperation in areas such as iron ore business, ore processing and blending, project construction, carbon emission reduction, and resource exploration and development, so as to achieve mutually beneficial and win-win development of higher quality and at a higher level. 

Bold Baatar fully affirmed the achievements of their past cooperation and provided an overview of Rio Tinto Group’s current production and operations, progress on key initiatives, and future development plans. He noted that Rio Tinto Group, leveraging its profound expertise in mineral resource development and other fields, continues to strengthen its synergistic advantages across the industry chain. He highlighted that the development strategies of Rio Tinto Group and China Minmetals are highly aligned, their industrial advantages are complementary, and their collaboration has yielded remarkable results with vast prospects. He expressed his hope that both sides would continue to enhance interaction and exchange, build strategic mutual trust, and engage in pragmatic cooperation in more areas to jointly achieve new development and breakthroughs. 

Relevant personnel from Rio Tinto Group, along with heads of relevant headquarters departments and directly-managed subsidiaries of China Minmetals, attended the meeting.
