Chen Dexin welcomed Wu Chungeng and his delegation and expressed his gratitude to the CPC Liaoning Provincial Committee and the Liaoning Provincial People’s Government for their long-standing help and support for China Minmetals. He said that China Minmetals has always upheld the aspiration and shouldered the responsibility of “serving and reinvigorating the country through the metals and minerals industry.” It has consistently worked in close alignment with Liaoning Province, maintaining comprehensive, friendly, and close cooperation. Particularly since the signing of a strategic cooperation framework agreement in March 2023, China Minmetals has leveraged its strong scientific research capabilities and its advantages of an integrated industry chain to actively participate in Liaoning’s new round of strategic action for prospecting breakthroughs, ecological restoration and governance, and technological innovation. It has further increased its investment in infrastructure construction in Liaoning, promoting the continuous deepening and substantiation of mutually beneficial and friendly cooperation. He expressed his hope that both sides, based on national strategies, would intensify cooperation in areas such as mineral resource development and utilization, promoting the efficient development of Liaoning’s industrial clusters, and expanding the layout of China Minmetals’ projects in the province, in order to better advance and implement all matters under the strategic cooperation framework agreement. China Minmetals is willing to continuously support Liaoning in achieving new breakthroughs in its comprehensive revitalization and contribute to the high-quality economic and social development of the province.
Wu Chungeng thanked China Minmetals for its contributions to Liaoning’s economic and social development. He noted that Liaoning is a resource-rich province with 94 types of minerals with proven reserves, and its iron ore reserves rank first in the country. The province is accelerating the high-quality development of its industrial clusters. He expressed his hope that China Minmetals would provide further support to Liaoning in areas such as the green development and utilization of mineral resources, collaboration across the upstream and downstream sectors to build industrial clusters, mine ecological restoration and governance, and technology research and development. Liaoning will continue to provide high-quality services for the development of China Minmetals in the province.
Relevant officials from Liaoning Province, along with heads of relevant headquarters departments and directly-managed enterprises of China Minmetals, attended the meeting.
