From September 24 to 25, Zhu Kebing, Deputy Party Group Secretary, Director, and President of China Minmetals, visited key enterprises and projects in Liaoning, including the Chentaigou Iron Mine project and China Third Metallurgical Group Co., Ltd. During his visit, he conducted work safety inspections and extended greetings to frontline officials and employees. Wu Kaihua, Mayor of Anshan, accompanied the inspection of the Chentaigou Iron Mine project.
On the morning of September 24, Zhu Kebing visited the surface construction site of the 11 million tons/year ore processing project and the underground ramp at the Chentaigou Iron Mine Project. He gained a detailed understanding of the project’s construction, work safety, schedule management, and quality control, and had a cordial conversation with officials and employees. He emphasized that it is essential to thoroughly study and implement the spirit of the series of important speeches and instructions from President Xi Jinping and to solidly advance the project’s construction from the strategic height of enhancing the nation's resource security capabilities. The advantages of internal synergy should be leveraged to unite all participating parties, continuously optimize construction plans, and control project schedule milestones to ensure high-quality construction. Furthermore, adhering to the principle of “safety first, prevention foremost, and comprehensive governance,” the work safety responsibilities of all parties must be fully implemented to resolutely prevent all types of safety accidents. It is also crucial to pool collective wisdom and tackle challenges to effectively solve technical difficulties such as ground pressure manifestation and surrounding rock fragmentation, thereby ensuring safe and efficient construction.
On the afternoon of September 25, Zhu Kebing visited China Third Metallurgical Group, where he was briefed on the company’s business operations, industrial layout, and reform and transformation. He then held a symposium with the leadership team to discuss key and difficult issues facing the enterprise. He emphasized four key points. First, unity must be strengthened to enhance the collective force of the leadership team, genuinely uniting people’s hearts, reinforcing confidence, and working in concert. This will lead all officials and employees to work as one, providing a strong guarantee for the company’s reform and development. Second, the team must demonstrate courage in taking responsibility and act proactively, firmly establishing a correct view of performance. Historical legacy issues and practical operational difficulties must be properly handled, with earnest efforts to resolve the urgent and pressing concerns of employees, ensuring every task is completed with dedication. Third, the company must look inward and diligently strengthen its internal capabilities by continuously enhancing internal controls, optimizing management systems, and comprehensively raising its level of refined management and market responsiveness. There should be no relaxation in efforts regarding work safety, on-site management, and project fulfillment, as solid internal strength is what wins market trust. Fourth, the company should carry forward its legacy and forge ahead with vigor, drawing strength from its glorious history and profound heritage. This includes inheriting and promoting the entrepreneurial spirit of arduous struggle and daring to fight, driving the company's transformation and upgrading with full force, and striving to create a bright future for the enterprise.
