On November 3, the Party committee and government of Guangxi Zhuang autonomous region held the Guangxi High-Quality Development Conference on Non-Ferrous Metals and Critical Metals Industry and Project Investment and Cooperation Fair in Nanning. The conference thoroughly studied and implemented the guiding principles of the fourth plenary session of the 20th CPC Central Committee, and the important expositions of General Secretary Xi Jinping on Guangxi. It is also an occasion to seize new opportunities, lay out new tracks, and jointly plan for the high-quality development of Guangxi's non-ferrous metals, especially the critical metals industry. Chen Gang, Secretary of the CPC Guangxi Committee and Director of the Standing Committee of the People's Congress of Guangxi, and Ge Honglin, president of the China Nonferrous Metals Industry Association, attended and addressed the conference. Wei Tao, chairman of the Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region, presided over the conference and delivered a speech at the project investment and cooperation fair. Chen Dexin, Party Group Secretary and Chairman of China Minmetals, was invited to attend and deliver a keynote speech.

It has gradually forged development advantages across the entire industrial chain integrating resource exploration, design and construction, development and operation, smelting and processing, trade and logistics, scientific and technological research and development, and financial capital, and is accelerating towards the goal of building a world-class metal mineral enterprise group. Since the beginning of this year, China Minmetals has focused its industrial layout around new energy transformation, national key advantages, and strategic metals including critical, rare, and scattered metals.
