On November 4, at the 50th International Convention on Quality Control Circles (ICQCC), the QC achievement titled "Reducing Auxiliary Material Costs in the Acid-Making Area" from the Zinc Roasting Plant of Zhuzhou Smelter Group Co., LTD, a subsidiary of China Minmetals, stood out among more than 1,000 QC achievements from over 50 countries and regions, winning the highest honor in the International Quality Control Circle - the Gold Award.

The International Convention on Quality Control Circles is jointly initiated by industry standardization associations from 13 countries and regions including China, Japan, South Korea and Singapore. As a grand event for international exchange and competition in quality control circle activities, it is known as the "Quality Olympics".

This time, through the tackling of QC projects, Zhuzhou Smelter Group achieved an annual reduction of 288,600 yuan in auxiliary material costs for the acid-making area of the roasting plant. Its hard power in quality management and continuous improvement gained international recognition, writing a new chapter for China Minmetals' quality management innovation. Guided by the goals of improving quality and efficiency, as well as overcoming difficulties, China Minmetals will focus on quality enhancement, management innovation and service optimization. It will continuously deepen the practice of total quality management, advance QC activities involving all employees, solidly carry out the first QC achievement presentation competition, and strive to elevate the quality management standard to a new level, thereby injecting new momentum into the high-quality development of China Minmetals.
