On November 13, Chen Dexin, Party Group Secretary and Chairman of China Minmetals, held working talks with Li Zuoxun, Secretary of the Tongren Municipal Party Committee, and Mu Rongkun, Mayor of Tongren, in Tongren, Guizhou, to exchange views on strengthening cooperation. Wang Jiezhi, Deputy Party Group Secretary and Director of China Minmetals, attended the meeting.

Chen Dexin expressed gratitude for Tongren City's long-term strong support for China Minmetals. He said that China Minmetals adheres to the aspiration of contributing to human progress through developing the mining industry. In recent years, it has maintained a steady pace of high-quality development with continuously improving operating performance. Currently, the group is thoroughly implementing the guiding principles of the fourth plenary session of the 20th CPC Central Committee, comprehensively enhancing the core function of ensuring the supply and security of national metal mineral resources across all stages spanning "exploration, production, supply, storage and marketing", continuously consolidating the development advantages of a complete industrial chain integrating resource exploration, design and construction, development and operation, smelting and processing, trade and logistics, scientific and technological R&D, and financial capital, and accelerating the development of a world-class metal mineral enterprise group with global competitiveness. Tongren, he noted, enjoys a favorable ecological environment, distinct geographical advantages and abundant mineral resources. For a long time, both sides have stood together through thick and thin, addressed common issues and achieved coordinated progress in areas including rural vitalization and industrial development, establishing a close cooperative relationship and profound friendship. China Minmetals remains committed to working with Tongren to actively elevate the level of cooperation and industrial development around the metal manganese industrial chain, further transform Tongren's resource advantages into industrial, economic and development advantages, and make every effort to serve the rural vitalization strategy and jointly consolidate and expand the achievements of rural vitalization.

Li Zuoxun thanked China Minmetals for its long-term strong support to the economic and social development of Tongren City, as well as its sincere, pragmatic and substantial assistance for helping Dejiang and Yanhe counties under its administration, making continuous contributions to people's common prosperity. He said that currently, Tongren is continuously and thoroughly implementing the spirit of General Secretary Xi Jinping's important speech during his inspection in Guizhou, fully implementing the arrangements of the provincial Party committee and the provincial government, and vigorously promoting the high-quality development of the manganese industry in accordance with the requirement of "efficient exploitation of high-grade mineral resources". He expressed hope both sides would continuously advance pragmatic cooperation, and Tongren City will make every effort to provide service guarantees for China Minmetals' local enterprises and cooperative projects to achieve mutual benefit and win-win results.
