On November 14, Chen Dexin, Party Group Secretary and Chairman of China Minmetals, went to Dejiang County, Guizhou, to conduct on-site investigations into rural vitalization and paired assistance, and visited and extended regards to local staff, villagers and dispatched cadres. Wang Jiezhi, Deputy Party Group Secretary and Director of China Minmetals, accompanied the investigation.

Chen Dexin went to Daxing Community, Banping Village and Xinzhai Community of Hexing Town and investigated the Yongzhi Tea Industry Base and its processing workshop, Hexing Middle School, and the gastrodia elata deep processing production line in northern urban areas assisted by the Group. He gained a detailed understanding of the development of characteristic industries, basic education and people’s income increase. He pointed out that in recent years, both the local government and the enterprise have earnestly implemented the decisions and arrangements of the Party Central Committee, based on local conditions, continuously strengthened cooperation, consistently consolidated the achievements of poverty alleviation, and achieved new progress in promoting the implementation of the rural vitalization strategy.

Chen Dexin emphasized the need to earnestly study and implement the guiding principles of the fourth plenary session of the 20th CPC Central Committee and General Secretary Xi Jinping's important instructions on work related to agriculture, rural areas and farmers. It is required to coordinate and fulfill the political, economic and social responsibilities of central state-owned enterprises from a higher position, adhere to the principles of "precision, distinctive features and long-term effectiveness", timely summarize the good practices and experiences of paired assistance work during the 14th Five-Year Plan period, continuously innovate measures to strengthen development-oriented assistance in combination with the county's industrial development and people's livelihood needs during the 15th Five-Year Plan period, further improve work effectiveness by focusing on key areas such as education facility improvement, skill training, industrial capacity expansion and consumption support, thereby effectively advancing comprehensive rural vitalization.

Chen Dexin also encouraged the dispatched cadres to adhere to a work style of "working hard and delivering tangible results,"  take root at the front line, integrate into the grassroots, serve the people, and complete all paired assistance tasks with high quality.
