On 2 December, at the 2^nd International Seminar on CSR Report jointly held by China WTO Tribune of MOFCOM, China-Germany CSR Project and CBCSD, China Minmetals won the Leading Enterprise Award of Golden Bee "2009 Excellent CSR Report", ranking 3^rd. Among the award winners were COSCO, CNPC, China Development Bank, Baosteel and Sinopec.

Altogether 582 CSR reports or Sustainable Development reports published in China were collected for this selection event from enterprises including SOEs, private enterprises, foreign enterprises and industry associations, 3.44 times the number of 169 in 2008. Organizations including MOFCOM's China WTO Tribune had independent selection of those reports with technical support from CSR Research Center of CASS. The reports were studied and evaluated in six dimensions – structure, credibility, readability, performance comparability, report creativity and substance of the content, and were scored in five aspects, including basic information, economic responsibility, environmental responsibility, social responsibility and report principle. In the end, a comprehensive score was given according to the weightings to finalize the ranking. Finally, the "2008 Sustainable Development Report of China Minmetals" won the 3^rd place in comprehensive score among all reports given its comprehensive reflection of all conditions with clear highlights, standard framework structure, clear logic, good integrity and continuity, as well as flexible presentation, high readability and strong innovation.

Themed "create value with responsibility and communication", this workshop, in addition to publishing excellent CSR reports, also interpreted relevant government policies, requirements and background about CSR, analyzed the latest international trend of CSR report, and organized experience exchange of CSR management through forums. Bureau and division leaders from relevant ministries, such as SASAC of State Council and MOFCOM, also attended the seminar.
