After attending the Shareholders' Meeting and the Board Meeting of AXA-Minmetals Assurance Co., Ltd held in Paris, President Zhou Zhongshu and Senior Vice President Zhang Yuanrong inspected the performances of Minmetals Spain S.A. and Minmetals (U.K.) Ltd. successively from May 29 to June 3, and conducted field investigation of the markets and business projects in Spain and the UK. After listening to the work reports by Han Gang (General Manager of Minmetals Germany GmbH), Han Chunhai, (Deputy General Manager of Minmetals Spain S.A.), and Cheng Youge (General Manager of Minmetals (U.K.) Ltd.), President Zhou acknowledged the achievements of Minmetals subsidiaries in Europe after business integration, and asked them to further clarify positioning, expand markets and get various tasks done according to the four prescribed functions. During the visit, President Zhou met Wang Shixiong, Chinese Consul-General to Barcelona Spain and Liu Xiaoming, Chinese Ambassador to UK, exchanging views on further business expansion of Minmetals in the European markets.
