President Zhou and President Tetsuo Imakubo reviewed the long-term friendly cooperation between Minmetals and Nippon Steel Corporation and Nippon Steel Trading Co. Ltd., extending his heartfelt gratitude for their great support rendered to Minmetals in the steel trading industry for years. He also briefed the guests on the business performance of Minmetals during the period of the “Eleventh Five-year Plan” period and the vision for the “Twelfth Five-year Plan”, as well as the business scope, operation features and development strategy of Minemtals Iron Ore and Steel Business Center. The two sides had an in-depth exchange of views on regional market analysis, development of processing centers and steel market information. They also expressed wishes to give full play to their respective advantages in resources and talents, and enhance cooperation in expanding the variety of steel products for trade and enlarging regional markets in China and overseas.
