On June 06, 2012, together with Li Lianhua, Member of Party Leadership, President Zhou met with a delegation led by Igor V. Zyuzin, Chief Executive Officer of OAO Mechel.

President Zhou extended his welcome to CEO Igor V. Zyuzin and his gratitude to OAO Mechel for its selection of Minmetals as its partner for the rail and structural steel mill project. President Zhou said that Minmetals attached great importance to the project, a landmark in the economic and bilateral trade cooperation between China and Russia. Therefore, Minmetals would make positive efforts to promote the project on schedule with quality and quantity guaranteed and would dutifully accomplish the tasks for common benefits and mutual development. CEO Igor V. Zyuzin said that OAO Mechel also attached great importance to the project and hoped that the two sides would enhance cooperation and work together to overcome difficulties so as to ensure the smooth implementation and completion of the project. They also exchanged views on issues of common concern during the implementation of the project.

Wei Shuxiang, Assistant President of Minmetals and GM of the Minmetals Mining Holdings Limited, Wang Wenhai, Deputy Director of Minmetals General Office, and He Liu, General Manager of Minmetals Engineering Co., Ltd. were also present at the meeting.
