China Minmetals Awarded "2011 Grade-A Enterprise For Performance Evaluation of State-owned Enterprises"

On July 25, SASAC of the State Council released the evaluation result of principles' operation performances of state-owned enterprises in 2011, the Group was rated as a Grade-A enterprise for performance evaluation, ranking 13th among Grade-A corporations, a considerable raise of 9 rankings over the last year. China Minmetals Corporation was honored as Grade-A enterprise for yearly performance evaluation for six consecutive years.

Forty-eight of the 118 state-owned enterprises incorporated to the evaluation scope of SASAC were rated as Grade-A enterprises, accounting for 38.98% of all state-owned enterprises, mainly involved in military industry (9 enterprises),commerce and trade (7 enterprises), power system (6 enterprises), communication, transportation and construction (4 enterprises for each industry), petroleum and petrochemical（3 enterprises）， automobile, coal, building materials and locomotive manufacturing industries (2 enterprises for each industry), real estate, communications, ferrous metal, investment，tourism(one enterprise for each), etc. And 55 enterprises were only approved as grade-B, making up for 456.61%, and 13 enterprises were rated Grade-C, a proportion of 11.02%, and only 4 enterprises were rated grade-D, accounting for 3.39%.
