Minmetals Ranks 192nd in US Fortune Global

In 2012, in the face of severe and complex external situation, China Minmetals Corporation forged ahead and overcame difficulties to achieve extraordinary operational results. At 7:30 on the evening of July 8, 2013 (Beijing Time), the U.S. "FORTUNE" magazine published the list of “global top 500 enterprises”. With revenues of USD 51.807 billion, Minmetals ranked 192nd and continued to be among top 200.

In the rankings of metal industry released at the same time, Minmetals ranked 5th. The top four are Arcelor-Mittal, ThyssenKrupp, POSCO, and Nippon Steel. The list of the metal industry is shown in Table 1.

This year, a total of 95 Chinese enterprises (including 4 from Hong Kong and 6 from Taiwan) were among “Global Top 500”, an increase of 18 over the previous year. Among them, 44 are central enterprises. Minmetals ranks 17th among central enterprises, four rankings behind compared the previous year. Central enterprises on the list are shown in Table 2.

In 2013, the threshold of “Global Top 500” is USD 23.175 billion, an increase of 5.31% over 2012 (22.006).
