On November 13, 2014, the conference for release of the “Blue Book of Corporate Social Responsibility” & the “CSR Development Index of Top 300 Firms in China (2014)” was held in Beijing. It was jointly held by the Department of Economics of CASS, the Institute of Industrial Economics of CASS, the National Institute of Social development of CASS and the Social Science Academic Press and sponsored by the Research Center for Corporate Social Responsibility, the Economics Division of CASS and Zhengdezhiyuan Social Responsibility Institute. At the conference, the Blue Book of Corporate Social Responsibility – CSR Development Report of Chinese Enterprises (2014) (hereinafter referred to as the “Blue Book”) prepared by the Research Center for Corporate Social Responsibility of CASS was released. The Blue Book systematically disclosed top 100 state-owned enterprises, top 100 private enterprises, and top 100 foreign enterprises in the field of social responsibility development as well as the social responsibility development index of 14 major industries including power, medicine, real estate, and food. It objectively and vividly presented the status of social responsibility management and the level of environmental information disclosure of top 300 enterprises in China in 2013-2014. With a social responsibility development index of 81.1 scores, China Minmetals Corporation was among top ten state-enterprises and ranked first in the metal industry; with the five-star rating, it was on the list of “outstanding enterprises”. 

In recent years, China Minmetals Corporation has attached great importance to social responsibility, steadily enhanced CSR management, actively communicated with stakeholders, and gradually integrated the concept of social responsibility into its business management decisions and business operations, so as to seek common development with its stakeholders and keep improving its sustainable development.
