On December 4, Party Secretary and Chairman He Wenbo met a visiting delegation headed by Zheng Renhao, Deputy Secretary of CPC Shantou Committee and Mayor of Shantou City, Guangdong Province. They exchanged views on further promoting the project of new town for China Minmetals Yuedong Logistics Headquarters. Zhang Yuanrong, Party Member and Deputy General Manager of Minmetals; and Li Gengjian, Vice Mayor of Shantou City, were present at the meeting.

Chairman He first expressed his welcome to Mayor Zheng and his delegation and briefed them on the operating performance and main business of Minmetals, especially the development planning of real estate business. He looked forward to further support for the project from the Shantou Municipal Party Committee and the City Government, saying that Minmetals would spare no efforts to promote the development of the project so as to make positive contributions to local economic and social development. Mayor Zheng introduced the basic conditions, traffic development, urban planning and the development of the modern service industry of Shantou City, reviewed the history of friendly cooperation between the two sides, and expressed his gratitude to Minmetals for its support for economic and social development in Shantou City. He said that the Shantou Municipal Party Committee and the City Government attach great importance to the project and Shantou City will further create favorable conditions and provide support for the project. He hoped Minmetals would intensify its efforts in project construction and promote the development of related industries by giving full play to its advantages in investment promotion and marketing. Then, Zhang Yuanrong and Zheng Renhao had an in-depth exchange of views on how to promote the development of the project.

Relevant leaders from Longhu District, Shantou City, including Wang Xiaohui, Ji Zhiqun, and Chen Yimin; executives of the Minmetals General Office and Minmetals Property, including Zhang Ye, He Jianbo, Zhang Baiping, Liu Shimin, Hu Xiaodong, and Dong Hailong, were present at the meeting.
