On December 15, Party Secretary and Chairman He Wenbo met a visiting delegation headed by Mark Slaughter, Managing Director of Citibank and Head of Corporate and Investment Banking (Asia Pacific). They exchanged views on further strengthening exchanges and cooperation. Shen Ling, Party Member and CFO of Minmetals, attended the meeting.
He Wenbo extended his welcome to Mr. Slaughter and his delegation, reviewed the history of friendly cooperation between Minmetals and Citibank, and highly appreciated the professionalism and agility of the Citibank team. He said that Minmetals is committed to becoming a state-owned capital investment company in the metal and mining industry and would like to expand and deepen cooperation with Citibank. Mr. Slaughter hoped that the two sides would further deepen communication and seek broader opportunities for cooperation, considering the long-standing, good relationship of cooperation between them.
The two parties also exchanged views on issues of common concern, including commodity market trends and the strategic restructuring between Minmetals and China Metallurgical Group Corporation.
