On the afternoon of April 19, Weng Zuliang, Party Group Secretary and Chairman of China Minmetals, visited Hunan Shui Kou Shan Nonferrous Metals Group Co., Ltd. (“Shui Kou Shan Company” for short), a subsidiary of China Minmetals for investigation.

Weng Zuliang successively visited Shui Kou Shan lead-zinc mine, Kangjiawan mine, the construction site of Kangjiawan mine technology upgrading and transformation project, and the temporary core repository, where he listened to the report on operation of Shui Kou Shan Company, including its production and operation, continuity of resources, work safety, and progress of key projects.

Weng Zuliang had in-depth discussions and exchanged opinions with front-line managers and workers on key issues such as promoting deep and external ore body prospecting and achieving the continuity of mineral resources. He hoped that Shui Kou Shan Company would fully grasp and implement Xi Jinping Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era, stay committed to the original aspiration and founding mission of "dedicating to the nation with mining and making the country strong in mining", focus on its main responsibilities and businesses and ensure resource continuity. He also hoped that the company would strive to catch up with world’s first-class companies, accelerate project construction, improve the institutional system, and upgrade management, thus contributing the enduring strength of a century-old mine to China Minmetals’ responsibility for guaranteeing metal resources as a major force.
