On the morning of April 20, Weng Zuliang, Party Group Secretary and Chairman of China Minmetals, visited Chenzhou Tungsten Industry Co., Ltd. Company (“Chenzhou Tungsten” for short) and Hunan Shizhuyuan Nonferrous Metals Co., Ltd. (“Shizhuyuan Nonferrous Metals” for short) affiliated to China Tungsten and Hightech Materials Co., Ltd. (“China Tungsten” for short), a subsidiary of China Minmetals.

In Chenzhou Tungsten, Weng Zuliang visited the smart manufacturing center, workshop production lines and tungsten slag storage, and listened to the report on enterprise development, scientific and technological innovation, and the results of rectification and transformation based on the opinions of central government inspection group. After that, he put forward requirements for intelligent production management, digital upgrade, and environmental governance.

At Dongbo mining site of Shizhuyuan Nonferrous Metals, Weng Zuliang visited the intelligent equipment control room and the production site of the underground 5G intelligent mining operation area to know about mechanical operations. In Dongbo Beneficiation Plant, Weng Zuliang carefully checked the beneficiation process and main equipment and facilities, and listened to the report on work safety, technological innovation, team building, achievements of the craftsman innovation studio, and the practical activities themed at “Progress Index”.

During the investigation, Weng Zuliang and front-line managers and workers had in-depth discussions on further improving the efficiency of whole industry chain resource allocation, continuously enhancing the industry chain resilience, and promoting the integrated development of the whole industry chain. Weng Zuliang hoped that China Tungsten and its subordinate companies would thoroughly practice Xi Jinping’s Thought on Ecological Civilization and promote the high-quality development of enterprises with high-level protection of ecological environment. He stressed that the companies should fully grasp and implement the important observations of General Secretary Xi Jinping on scientific and technological innovation, vigorously implement the innovation-driven development strategy, thus comprehensively improving the capacity for sci-tech innovation.
