On the morning of April 21, Weng Zuliang, Party Group Secretary and Chairman of China Minmetals, visited Changsha Institute of Mining Research Co. Ltd. (“Changsha Institute of Mining Research” for short), a subsidiary of China Minmetals, for investigation.

Weng Zuliang inspected the State Key Laboratory of Safety Technology of Metal Mines, the Laboratory for Analysis and Appraisal of Major Disasters in Metal and Non-metal Mines, the Laboratory for Mine Elevator Safety Access Analysis, and the Digital Mine Laboratory. Thereafter, he listened to the work report of the person in charge of the related professional laboratories such as 10-meter semi-anechoic chamber electromagnetic compatibility, new energy battery, rock mechanics, water governance, etc.

Weng Zuliang conducted in-depth discussions with technical backbones on electromechanical product testing and inspection, safety technology research, digital elements control system, goaf detection and disaster prevention technology, mine water disaster governing equipment and national industry standards compilation that involve Changsha Institute of Mining Research. In addition, Weng Zuliang pointed out that Changsha Institute of Mining Research should fully grasp and put into practice Xi Jinping Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era, pursue world-class standards, and proactively cooperate with China Minmetals to carry out new equipment certification & inspection and the safety inspection & evaluation of the mining industry. Weng Zuliang hoped that Changsha Institute of Mining Research would provide technical support and safety for green and intelligent mineral extraction with scientific and technological innovation, and build a characteristic digital elements control system, so as to promote digitalization and high-quality development of the mining industry.
