On the afternoon of May 8th, Weng Zuliang, Party Group Secretary and Chairman of China Minmetals, visited Ma’anshan Xuejiawa Ecological Park to review the guiding principles of the important speech delivered by President Xi Jinping during his investigation. Yuan Fang, Secretary of the Ma’anshan Municipal Party Committee, and Fang Wen, Member of the Ma’anshan Municipal Standing Committee and Secretary General of the Municipal Party Committee, accompanied Weng in the investigation.

Weng Zuliang and his delegation, following the footsteps of President Xi Jinping during his visit at Ma’anshan Xuejiawa Ecological Park on August 19th, 2020, first inspected the environmental remediation along the riverbank of the Yangtze River, and reviewed the important instruction of President Xi Jinping, “only the people protect the Yangtze River can the Yangtze River benefit the people”. Weng emphasized the need to grasp the rich connotation of Xi’s thought on ecological progress and the scientific connotation of the new development philosophy through reviewing the important speeches of President Xi, and feel the great power of thoughts through learning, thinking and practice.

In recent years, China MCC17 Group Co., Ltd., a subsidiary of China Minmetals, has proactively participated in the construction of the Yangtze River Bank Phase II Ecological Improvement Project, including the Ma’anshan Xuejiawa Ecological Park and the Luwei River Bay. This has effectively assisted in the improvement of the Xuejiawa ecological wetland environment, making China Minmetals’ contributions to the ecological restoration and environmental remediation on the east bank of the Yangtze River.
