On May 10th, Weng Zuliang, Party Group Secretary and Chairman of China Minmetals, held working talks with Wang Qingxian, Deputy Secretary of Anhui Provincial Party Committee and Governor of Anhui Province, in Hefei to exchange views on further deepening cooperation.

Wang Qingxian pointed out that in the context of fostering a new pattern of development, Anhui, as an important hub connecting the Yangtze River Delta and the central region, possesses obvious comparative advantages and embraces a broad space for development. China Minmetals is a large State-owned central enterprise with tremendous strength in metals and minerals, metallurgical construction, trade and logistics, and finance and real estate. He hoped that China Minmetals would give full play to its comprehensive advantages, further deepen cooperation between the two sides, launch innovative cooperation models in promoting the revitalization of the new material industry in northern Anhui, improving the quality and vitality of urban functions and providing financial services, so as to create a better environment for development.

Weng Zuliang noted that China Minmetals follows the guidance of Xi Jinping Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era. Adhering to its original mission of “serving and reinvigorating the country through the metals and minerals industry”, China Minmetals is advancing the building of a world-class corporate group with global competitiveness in the metals and minerals industry. Anhui Province, as an important part of the integrated development of the Yangtze River Delta, is also a place of strategic importance in industrial layout of China Minmetals. China Minmetals will give play to the advantages of both sides, focus on key responsibilities and major businesses, deepen strategic cooperation with Anhui, so as to realize mutually beneficial and win-win development at a higher level and with higher quality.

Fei Gaoyun, member of the Anhui Provincial Standing Committee and Executive Vice Governor of Anhui Province, Shan Xiangqian, Vice Governor of Anhui Province, and Zhu Kebing, Wang Shilei, and Chen Jianguang, members of the leadership team of China Minmetals, attended the talks.
