On August 30, Weng Zuliang, the Party Group Secretary and Chairman of China Minmetals, paid a visit to China ENFI Yanshi R&D Base, an affiliate of China Minmetals.

Weng visited the exhibition hall of the office building at the R&D base; investigated the digital simulation laboratory, new material laboratory, filling laboratory, fuel cell laboratory, wet expansion laboratory, pressure leaching laboratory, fire expansion test shop, comprehensive mineral processing test zone, ecological greenhouse for soil restoration and other experiment platforms; obtained an in-depth understanding of the scientific innovation system created by China ENFI as well as the development status of Yanshi R&D platforms; and was debriefed on the progresses of ongoing projects, including the extraction of complex lithium resources, scandium-based functional materials, and vanadium flow energy storage technology, etc.

Weng spoke highly of the developments accomplished by Yanshi R&D Base and put forward his requirements concerning the completion of technical spectrum, the promotion of core technologies, the improvement of essential functions, the creation of core competitiveness, the exploration of new business models, as well as the confirmation and protection of intellectual property rights and assets.

Weng was accompanied by Zhu Kebing and Chen Jianguang, two members of the leading group of China Minmetals.
