On August 31, Weng Zuliang, the Party Group Secretary and Chairman of China Minmetals, paid a visit to SINOSICO, an affiliate of China Minmetals, and a silica-based material developer and producer invested by China ENFI.

At Luolong Factory, Weng was debriefed on SINOSICO’s technical spectrum development and engineering statuses of silica-based materials. He visited the national engineering research center for silica-based material preparation technology, other laboratories as well as pilot test plants, and got an in-depth understanding of the tech innovation system of SINOSICO ranging from mechanism research to small scale test, pilot test and commercialization. At Mengjin Factory, Weng visited the exhibition hall; investigated the control and command center, analysis and test center, as well as the zone-melting polycrystalline silicon and electronic gas production lines; and asked about the construction of the smart factory, the operation of the big data platform, and the status of phase-II commercialization, etc.

At the post-visit meeting, Weng was debriefed on and speaks highly of the operation statuses of China ENFI and SINOSICO. He also puts forward his requirements on exploring the innovative advantages, creating development competitiveness, eliminating bottlenecks, and reinforcing the party’s leadership, etc.

Weng was accompanied by Zhu Kebing and Chen Jianguang, two members of the leading group of China Minmetals.
