On August 31, in Luoyang, Weng Zuliang, the Party Group Secretary and Chairman of China Minmetals, had a work meeting with Jiang Ling, a member of Henan Provincial CPC Standing Committee and the Municipal Party Secretary of Luoyang. The two made in-depth discussions on pushing forward concrete cooperation.

Weng expressed thanks to the municipal party committee and government of Luoyang for the great support provided to China Minmetals, and briefly reported the overall conditions of the company. He said that the company has been adhering to Xi Jinping Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era and implementing the guiding principles of the 20th CPC National Congress. By fulfilling the mission of “serving and reinvigorating the country through metals and minerals industry”, the company realized business revenue of nearly RMB 900 billion in 2022, a new record in history. China Minmetals attaches high importance on its development in Luoyang. SINOSICO, a new material producer based in Luoyang, focuses its attention on the transformational development of electronic materials, and has made enviable achievements. Luoyang has solid manufacturing basis, rich cultural heritages, livable urban environment, and fertile soil for industrial development; therefore China Minmetals has a lot of confidence in a better cooperation with Luoyang. Weng also expressed the wishes of reinforcing bilateral communication, facilitating strategic cooperation, exploring new fields of cooperation, innovating the means of cooperation, accelerating the development of strategic new industries, and realizing a win-win result. China Minmetals will further explore the innovative and leading strengths of SINOSICO and other affiliates, thereby making greater contributions to the development of Luoyang.

Jiang extended warm welcome to Weng and his entourage, and expressed thanks for the support that China Minmetals had provided for the development of Luoyang. He said that the business structure of China Minmetals aligned well with the industrial basis and resource endowment of Luoyang. In previous years, China Minmetals worked closely with Luoyang, pushing forward the development of several cooperation projects, and fostering a solid partnership. He talked about the wishes of further advancing the strategic cooperation, grasping the development opportunity of new semiconductor materials, expanding SINOSICO by relocating the company to the industry park, continuously improving quality, efficiency and competitiveness, exploiting the functions of China ENFI Yanshi R&D Base, reforming the mechanisms, accelerating the commercialization of research results, continuously exploring cooperation opportunities in the exploitation and comprehensive utilization of mineral resources, reinforcing cooperation in infrastructure development and urban renovation, innovating the operation models, speeding up the construction progress, and realizing a win-win result. He pointed out that Luoyang will provide essential support, optimize the industrial policies, create first-class environment, and fully back the development of China Minmetals in Luoyang.
