On September 21, Guo Wenqing, President and Deputy Party Group Secretary of China Minmetals, had a work meeting with Dang Xiaolong, Secretary of the Baoding municipal Party committee, and Yan Jihong, Mayor of Baoding City. The two sides made in-depth discussions on pushing forward cooperation between central state-owned enterprises and local governments.

Guo expressed thanks to the municipal party committee and government of Baoding for the great support provided to China Minmetals. He noted that China Minmetals has always followed the guidance of Xi Jinping Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era, firmly adhered to its original mission of "serving and reinvigorating the country through the metals and minerals industry", and advanced the building of a world-class powerhouse with global competitiveness in the metals and minerals industry. For a long time, China Minmetals has been involved in various landmark projects in the building of Baoding City, earning a good reputation and fostering a deep friendship with Baoding. Baoding has tremendous development potential, and both sides can leverage their respective strengths and share resources in areas such as urban brand enhancement, new energy, and mineral resource development, which establishes a solid foundation for cooperation and demonstrates limitless prospects for collaboration. China Minmetals will continue to leverage its management, technological, human resource, and financial advantages, and actively participating in the building of Baoding in various fields such as municipal projects, infrastructure, trade and logistics, mineral and metal resource development, and new urbanization, so as to make a greater contribution to the development of Baoding as a modern city with the best quality of life.

Dang Xiaolong extended a warm welcome to Guo Wenqing's visit and expressed gratitude for China Minmetals' full support and contributions to the flood prevention and disaster relief in Zhuozhou, as well as the post-disaster recovery and reconstruction. He said that China Minmetals' participation in flood prevention and disaster relief in Zhuozhou highlights its commitment as a central state-owned enterprise and deepens the cooperation and friendship between central state-owned enterprises and local governments. Dang added that both sides have extensive opportunities for cooperation in areas such as the building of flood storage and detention area, the development of a modern industrial system, circular economy zones, new energy, rehabilitation center construction, and mineral resource development. Baoding City regards China Minmetals as an ideal and priority strategic partner. Dang hoped that both sides would continue to engage in in-depth discussions, expand cooperation, and promote the implementation of more projects, so as to achieve mutual benefit and common development.

Before the meeting, Guo Wenqing conducted a survey, including the work safety inspection, of the North Goutou Village Project, a city village transformation project undertaken by China MCC17 Group, and the Chinese Ancient Animals Project (Baoding Natural History Museum) undertaken by MCC Central Research Institute of Building and Construction.

Shan Yougao, a member of the Baoding Municipal Committee and the Secretary-General, and Wang Shilei, Party Group Member and the Vice President of China Minmetals, attended the meeting.
