Weng Zuliang Visits Retired Leaders and Senior Experts of China Minmetals

On the occasion of the upcoming Chinese New Year, on January 30, 2024, Weng Zuliang, Party Group Secretary and Chairman of China Minmetals, paid visits and extended his regards to Zhou Keran, He Wenbo and Tang Fuping, retired leaders of China Minmetals, and Yu Runcang, senior consultant expert of China ENFI Engineering Corporation ("China ENFI") and Academician of the Chinese Academy of Engineering. He expressed gratitudes\ for their long-time contributions to the reform, development, and technological progress of China Minmetals, and conveyed his blessings of Chinese New Year to them.

Weng Zuliang visited the homes or workplaces of Zhou Keran, He Wenbo, Tang Fuping, and Yu Runcang, expressing his concern for their health status and their work and life. During the visits, he provided updates on China Minmetals' business achievements in 2023 and outlined its work plans for the upcoming period. Weng Zuliang stated that in 2023, China Minmetals, guided by the important instructions and directives from General Secretary Xi Jinping, firmly prioritized the task of high-quality development, resolutely shouldered the original mission of serving and invigorating the country through the metals and minerals industry, thoroughly implemented the "Five Core Principles", and accelerated the promotion of the "Five Action Plans" and the "Five Types of China Minmetals". Hence, gratifying achievements have been made in resource continuity, technological innovation, and addressing of the problems left over from corporate history, hitting a record-high in the operational performance of the central SOE. This is the result of the persistent and collective efforts of generations of employees of China Minmetals. In 2024, following the guidance of Xi Jinping Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era, China Minmetals will fully implement the guiding principles of the 20th National Congress, adhere to the general principle of pursuing progress while ensuring stability, and expedite the building of a world-class powerhouse with global competitiveness in the metals and minerals industry, so as to make greater contributions to the Chinese path to modernization.

Weng Zuliang noted that General Secretary Xi Jinping has repeatedly issued important instructions on the arrangements for retired officials nationwide, which fully reflects the General Secretary's and the CPC Central Committee's respect and concern for the vast number of retired officials and their earnest expectations for those working on the arrangement of retired officials. As for the work concerning retired officials at China Minmetals, Weng believed that it is crucial to steadfastly adhere to the fundamental guidance provided by General Secretary Xi Jinping in his important instructions. He also emphasized the importance of approaching the work for retired officials in the new era with a strong sense of emotion and responsibility by providing thoughtful and meticulous services for them.
