Wen Zuliang Meets with Zhou Jinxing, Dongcheng District Mayor

On February 1, 2024, Weng Zuliang, Party Group Secretary and Chairman of China Minmetals, held a meeting with a delegation led by Zhou Jinxing, Deputy Secretary of the CPC Dongcheng District Committee and District Mayor for in-depth exchanges on further strengthening the government-enterprise cooperation.

Weng Zuliang welcomed the delegation led by Zhou Jinxing and briefly introduced the development of China Minmetals. Weng pointed out that China Minmetals has been guided by Xi Jinping Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era, fulfilled the commitment to serve and reinvigorate the country through the metals and minerals industry, made its key responsibility and major business even stronger, better, and larger, and witnessed a steady high-quality growth. As a central state-owned enterprise (SOE) situated in Dongcheng District, China Minmetals cannot make such achievements without the strong support of the CPC Dongcheng District Committee and the district government. The central SOE also benefits from an enabling business environment and thoughtful services. China Minmetals has always valued the exchange and cooperation with the district government and committed itself to contributing to the local socio-economic development through its high-quality development. Weng expressed his hope that both sides would give full play to their respective advantages to promote common development.

Zhou Jinxing expressed his gratitude to China Minmetals for its support for the socio-economic development of Dongcheng District. Zhou said that the district saw a 5% growth in gross regional domestic product, and 8.4% in fiscal revenue that exceeded RMB 20 billion for the first time, by reinforcing industrial development and cultivation, upgrading consumption quality and improving business environment. The district government would integrate resources within the district to continue to provide greater support and high-quality services for enterprises. Zhou hoped to expand areas and enrich patterns of cooperation with China Minmetals to facilitate high-quality development of the district economy.

Heads of relevant headquarter departments of China Minmetals and directly-managed enterprises, as well as relevant officials from Dongcheng District People’s Government of Beijing Municipality also participated in the survey.
