On the afternoon of June 12, 2024, Chen Dexin, President and Deputy Party Group Secretary of China Minmetals, held a meeting with He Wenbo, Secretary of the Party Committee and Executive Chairman of CISA at the premise of China Iron and Steel Association (hereinafter referred to as "CISA"). The two sides had in-depth exchanges on further deepening cooperation.

Chen Dexin first expressed his gratitude to CISA for its long-term strong support on behalf of Weng Zuliang, Party Group Secretary and Chairman of China Minmetals, and introduced the development status of China Minmetals. He said that China Minmetals had always followed the guidance of Xi Jinping Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era and fully implemented all decisions and arrangements of the CPC Central Committee and the State Council. China Minmetals has focused on playing the three key roles of technological innovation, industrial control and safety support and resolutely undertaken the original mission of "serving and reinvigorating the country through the metals and minerals". In addition, it has put greater efforts to practice the "Five Core Principles" and advanced the progress of "Five Action Plans" and the construction of "Five Types of China Minmetals". It has also accelerated its efforts in building a world-class powerhouse with global competitiveness in the metals and minerals industry. Since the beginning of this year, China Minmetals has focused on enhancing core functions and improving core competitiveness, and worked to fulfill all tasks of "stabilizing growth, empowering industry, reducing costs, preventing risks and ensuring safety". It has continuously promoted the increase of reserves and output in domestic and foreign mines and improved its guarantee capacity of national strategic mineral resources. He Wenbo extended a warm welcome to Chen Dexin and his delegation and expressed his appreciation for the development achievements of China Minmetals in recent years. He said that China's iron and steel industry was aiming for high-end, intelligent and green development and constantly accelerating transformation, upgrading and high-quality development. Since China Minmetals possesses unique advantages in resource guarantee, technological innovation, reduction of pollution and carbon emissions, and steel application, He hoped that China Minmetals would continue to actively participate in the relevant work of CISA and help China's iron and steel industry to achieve the goal of "high-end, intelligent and green development". The two sides also conducted in-depth exchanges on topics such as iron resource development, steel structure promotion, national low-carbon steel innovation center, and steel ultimate energy efficiency project.
